Six programs, from six weeks to six years

Each program is planned for what children at that age can do next.

Two young girls look closely at a colorful book, with one girl touching a page while the other watches.

Programs by age

In their first year of life

Infant program

In the infant room, the day is built around care and discovery. Teachers set out activities that fit each baby's age and stage, and the room stays engaging and welcoming. The program uses The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers and Twos. Babies explore, reach, listen, and rest, with teachers close by through each part of the day.

Two young girls stand on a playground structure, one in an orange shirt holding a red pole and another in a white shirt with a frog graphic beside her.

Toddlers

Toddler Program

Toddler rooms are set up to keep children moving, making, and finding out how things work. The atmosphere is stimulating, and teachers encourage growth, creativity, and curiosity. Toddlers practice words, take turns, and try things on their own.

A young boy blows bubbles through a white plastic wand while standing outside against a blurred green background.

Preschool/PreK

Preschool and pre-k focus on getting your child ready for kindergarten. Teachers use a project-based approach, planning activities around children's questions and interests. Classrooms mix play, exploration, and guided work in language, literacy, arts, science, and athletics. Programs accept ELRC subsidy, and some offer tuition-free options. Ask what your center offers.

School Age Programs

School age children come before and after the school day for fun and educational experiences. The program offers hands-on learning that follows students' hobbies and interests. Children build, make, and try projects with their own ideas leading the way.

Day Camp

Day camp runs sessions through the summer, with before and after camp care for families who need it. Campers take part in hands-on learning that engages them through their hobbies and interests. Teachers plan activities around what children want to explore.

Tuition-Free Programs

Wonderspring offers tuition-free programs at its centers, including Pre-K Counts, PHLpreK, and Early Head Start. Children in these programs learn through play, exploration, and guided activities, the same approach used across the preschool classrooms. Eligible families can ask which tuition-free program fits their child and where it is offered.
